Golf

Designed by Stanley Thompson, the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is considered one of the best golf courses in Canada. This amazing golf resort has 18 holes with lots of variety. From throughout the park you have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. A must-visit for every golfer!

Horseback riding

Horseback riding is a very special way to explore Jasper National Park. There are several horse trails through the Canadian Rockies that all take you past the most beautiful places. At Jasper Park Trail Rides, you can choose from one-, two- and three-hour tours.

Museums and historical sites

Jasper has many local museums, each telling the story of the region’s history in its own way. If you want to learn about history, the Historic Gallery is highly recommended. For some historical sights, you don’t even have to go into the museum. The Mystery Rock, the Two Brothers Totem Pole and Locomotive 6015 you will encounter as you stroll through the town.

Art and galleries

Experience the artistic side of the Canadian Rockies in Jasper’s galleries. This is where Canadian artists show off their skills. In downtown Jasper, you’ll find one of Western Canada’s largest art galleries. Mountain Galleries is an example of a gallery that supports and promotes local artists.

Planetarium

In 2011, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada designated Jasper National Park as a Dark Sky Preserve, which are areas where almost no artificial lighting is visible at night.
