A snowy paradise in the middle of the Rockies

Jasper National Park is the rugged, quiet side of the Canadian Rockies. In winter, the park turns into a white world of frozen lakes, quiet pine forests and mountain peaks full of fresh powder snow. The village of Jasper is cozy in the middle of it: small, relaxed and a fine base for days in nature.

In Jasper you will find a rare blend of nature, silence and adventure. You can ski on Marmot Basin, hike through Maligne Canyon or just enjoy the view with a mug of hot chocolate.

Northern lights and wildlife

In winter, Jasper enjoys a special tranquility. At over 1,000 meters, the air is dry, clean and remarkably clear. At night you have a chance to see the northern lights, which dance in clear skies above the white mountain peaks. During the day you may encounter moose, bighorn sheep or even a lynx – all in their natural habitat.
